Myth only supports re-scaling the GUI at startup.  So, if you don't want 
to do the appearance settings thing, you could have a button that exits 
mythfrontend with an appropriate auto-restart.

Probably want to have the Theme Cache Size set to something higher than 
1, though (even if you keep doing the appearance thing).

Theme cache size
Maximum number of prescaled themes to cache.
