Bad EIT data.  IIRC, the trunk version (soon 0.21) does a /much/ better 
job of ignoring data that's ridiculously-far in the future (or, if not, 
there's a patch for it in Trac).

Yeah.  That's probably the best approach.  It's the program table.  Just 
delete the shows that are outside the normal range, i.e.:

DELETE FROM program WHERE starttime > ADDDATE(NOW(), 14);

This will likely leave some garbage in other tables, but it will get 
cleaned up eventually and won't hurt anything in the meantime (and takes 
virtually no space).
