Intrigued by this, I just did a quick simple test watching BBC News
via DVB-S and DVB-T through MythTV whilst monitoring the system time.
I noted the following delays between the system clock and the onscreen
clock.

DVB-S: 22s
DVB-T: 22s

Watching the same channel via DVB-S and DVB-T in kaffeine produced:

DVB-S: 23s
DVB-T: 23s
