I'm curious of why the only means of connecting a D11 up to change channels
is only by using the usb to serial route.. hasent anyone created anythng to
change the channel information with a blaster?



    The blaster is not as fast or reliable as a serial. In 2 plus years I 
have never missed a recording from a channel change problem after I set up 
serial correctly and from what I have seen on this list that is the norm not 
the exception.The problems come from setting it up and USB to serial 
converters.It's a case of "If it isn't broke don't fix it."
