Just another update for me:

I am using a 8400GS 256mb card.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121240

After the email started floating out about needing 512mb cards i was concerned.

I just install svn today with r19260.

Running drivers 180.11.

Blootube wide theme.
Initially i was running GNOME with dual monitors (seperate X screens)
MPlayer worked fine with VDPAU.

When playing with mpeg2 with vdpau i got the not enough memory/buffers
error on my 1080p screen and the 768 monitor.

I then changed to fluxbox to try and save some memory.

I played video on my 768 monitor and it worked. then on my 1080
screen and same error.

I disabled the 768 and then it started to play on the 1080p screen.
Some times when playing i would get the buffers error but so far its
working good.

There is a slight tear to the video but not too bad for such a
beta/alpha code base.

Now, i dont have a HD-PVR (YET) but i downloaded the 13.5 mbs clip
from the wiki and when playing it with

mythtv 13.5 i get:
