Hi folks,
My Nvidia 6200 AGP died the other day, so I picked up an 8400GS PCI,
thinking great I will be ready for the VDPAU and it should just be a pop
it in and everything will work nicely.
This certainly hasn't been the case, the 6200 was able to playback 1080i
video perfectly with xv on my LCD panel with a DVI-HDMI connection.
During the instance the CPU would be around 75-80% with 60-65% coming
from mythfrontend, the rest coming from X or other process.
After replacing it with the 8400GS, I get loads of tearing and just a
horrible looking picture, even with SD (though SD is watchable sort
of). The problem seems to be with X windows taking more CPU time then
mythfrontend, playing 1080i about 55% is going to X and 40% or so to
mythfrontend.
I've researched it as much as I could and tried all combinations of
UseEvents, Sync to Vblank, OpenGL sync all to no avail.
Thanks,
Lee
