[mythtv-users] Hauppauge HVR-1800 with basic cable

I just bought a new PC that happened to come with an Hauppauge HVR-1800
card in it. Since it was there I thought I would try to get it working
with Ubuntu and MythTV. Then I saw
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppage_HVR-1800, which says that
only digital input is supported with NTSC "coming soon". That apparently
was last updated December 2007... any progress yet? I only have a basic
cable service.

I am able to get the card recognized and a channel scan apparently works
(at least the numbers count up from 2). I am using the latest v4l via
mercurial.The modules seem to load okay:
