I get the same output for my COM1 port (/dev/ttyS0), which I use with
my IR receiver/blaster without issue.

My COM2 port reports differently, as it has not had the serial driver
removed via setserial:

1: uart:16550A port:000002F8 irq:3 tx:0 rx:0
