I should also point out that no Linux drivers at this point (that I'm 
aware of) are able to use hardware acceleration while decoding MPEG-4. 
XvMC only works with MPEG-2 (See: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/XvMC)

Hopefully that'll change in the future!
