Thanks for your help so far, Could you direct me in installing non broken NVIDIA drivers? I am currently using a precompiled package from livna. Previously I was using the driver installed from nvidia by their linux install package. I tried using the one from atrps, but for some reason that just caused x to crash so i removed it. Mike
