[mythtv-users] Problems after upgrade

Sat Apr 19 10:48:35 UTC 2008

Lets try this again with more information this time.

Recap:
I recently upgraded to version 0.21.whatever. My previously working
mythfrontend now crashes about 1 in 10 times i run it. Also when I
play a video and then exit to the menu and try and play another it
plays audio only. I have to exit the front end and then restart it to
watch another video.

I will include the printout from the myth front end at the end of this
message. Since my last post I realized that I had changed my nvidia
driver on account of a kernel upgrade. So I went back to ATRPMs and
tried to install their package with yum. I am not sure why but that
didn't work out for me, and after installing nvidia-graphics (yum
install nvidia-graphics) x failed to start. So I removed that package
and got one from LIVNA. That one worked, accept that I still play one
video and then fail to get video on the second try (after exiting to
the menu).

Here is the dump. Thanks for your help. Mike
