I had a backend with two frontends and one additional desktop for an
user and everythings was working witihout any problems. I had three
graphic cards, two sound cards and two lirc receivers (1GB RAM was
enough).


I set up autologin in inittab with mingetty (check wiki) for vt8 and
v9 for mythtv users (mythtv1 and mythtv2) and GDM was started on VT7.
mythbackend was running as a separated user.

every frontend was running on a its own X server an there were no
problems. I set up MYTHCONFDIR=/home/`whoami`/.mythtv/  like this.
