It's similar, Etch uses the older PATA module so the internal drive 
is "/dev/hda" not /dev/sda. There was something else about Etch. I 
would have to check the threads. Someone there did an Etch install.

One slight change, you can let it install grub but fix the MBR with 
the latest gptsync.

If you are willing and take good notes I could add an Etch install to 
the atv-bootloader wiki.
