While I've not heard of a major advantage to running in 64 bits,  
neither have I heard of any disadvantage to doing so. The only  
drawback I can think of would be the increased difficulty of things  
like SWF.

Ultimately 64-bits should be "better" than 32, but that development  
will only happen if folks actually run in 64 bits to promote such  
progress.
