Hi,

I am trying to get mythtv to work with mythbuntu 7.10 and the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2. I installed the device driver according to the linux tv howto for the HVR-4000 (http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-4000) and scan returned me a list of 1479 channels for the astra 19.2 E satelite. When I import this list in the channel scanner it adds only a very few of them.

If i try to tune a certain frequency I get the following output from "mythtv-setup -v all"

2008-04-14 16:32:06.163 SIScan(0): Tuning to Frequency 12187000 mplexid(0)
2008-04-14 16:32:06.170 DVBChan(1:0): Old Params: 0 auto a auto auto a a auto a v
                        DVBChan(1:0): New Params: 12187000 qpsk a auto auto a a auto a h
2008-04-14 16:32:06.174 DVBChan(1:0): Tune(): Tuning to 2437000kHz
2008-04-14 16:32:06.174 DVBChan(1:0) Error: Tune(): Setting Frontend tuning parameters failed.
                        eno: Invalid argument (22)
2008-04-14 16:32:06.176 SIScan(0): Failed to tune Frequency 12187000 mplexid(0) at offset 0

output of "dmesg"
[23746.208000] DVB: frontend 0 frequency 2437000 out of range (950000..2150000)

I wonder why the tune is trying frequency 2437000 (according to dmesg) instead of 12187000, which I provided. The funny thing is, if I use the channels.conf with szap I can tune every program perfectly and the output of mplayer looks great!

Is that an issue of mythtv or the dvb driver? How may I investigate this issue further?

with best regards,
Dominik
