You keep making reference to these "negative actions", but you never
provide a legal basis for them.

See, that teenager?  Yeah, they broke the law.  Same goes with those
computer users.  The fact is, while I don't like the tactics of the
RIAA/MPAA, many of those being sued probably *did*, in fact, break
copyright law.  You may not like those laws.  You may not like the
punishments associated with them.  But they *are* the law.  And as for
rootkits, that's just a non-sequitor, IMHO (unless the MPAA/RIAA
manage to sneak rootkits onto Hauppauge's products).

But there is no basis in law for any sort of legal action against
Hauppauge or any of their competitors.  Unless you can provide one,
all you're contributing is, quite simply, paranoid speculation.
Paranoia that these "outfits" will choose to sue these companies or
otherwise trigger legal action when there is, quite literally,
absolutely no legal basis for doing so.
