The recording format for this gadget is AVCHD, which is H.264 video and AC3 
audio inside an MPEG-2 transport stream.  I had to deal with this format 
recently to transcode some recordings from a video camera to Flash video for a 
website; transcoding was an ugly, slow, multi-step process.
