[mythtv-users] Is this beefy machine really not enough to drive HD at 1080p?

I've got the following machine and I can't get 1080p
to play without audio and video getting out of sync
after about 5 minutes.

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
(Family: 15, Model: 67, Stepping: 3)
It's also got 6Gb of RAM.

The video card is a GeForce 7100 GS. I've done the
research and configured the necessary pieces in
xorg.conf with UseEvents True and also run nvidia-setup
and set up things that way (I've attached both the
xorg.conf and the nvidia rc file below).

Is this machine really not beefy enough to push this
kind of resolution? Are the obvious things I'm missing?

thanks,

Scott
