I'm running 2.6.24-gentoo-r4 with ivtv-1.0.3-r2 and myth-0.21 from
portage with no serious issues so far. My new backend server is a stop
gap measure until I build some better machine later this year when I
start making a transition to HD. Until then the machine I built just
yesterday has recorded about 15 programs. Everything has worked great
so far, although mythcommflag is using 16% CPU which seems quite high
compared to our older server. The older machine was a 3GHz Intel
processor while this new machine is a low-end AMD Sempron to I was
expecting a few issues anyway.

On my first frontend, an AMD64 Gentoo machine, I've had to switch to
either the high, normal or slim profiles to get rid of jitter in the
OSD. Other than that the CPU usage seems a little high, but not bad,
at about 16%-20%. I believe that 0.20 typically ran around 10% on this
box, maybe a bit higher. These numbers are *very* preliminary at this
point so take them with a grain of salt.

I'm rebuilding one of my dedicated, and also lowest performance,
frontend machines as I write this and will have more data later today
hopefully.

Hope this helps,
Mark
