[mythtv-users] Questions about new hardware purchase

First of all, I will admit that I haven't been following this thread.
But I want to chime in and comment on the HVR-1600. I have one and it
seems like a very promising card. However, it was my first experience
in hardware that is not supported in Linux (yet). And although I am no
expert, I have yet to get it to work in MythTV. The partially-finished
driver is automatically installed in Ubuntu, but MythTV does nothing
with it. But again, I am no expert.

Another comment... for the powersupply, check Micro Center if you have
one near you. They routinely have name-brand 400w PSUs in the $30-40
range.

Here are my current picks. Current total is $499 before tax and
shipping. Hmm, nice round number, but too high? I would like to save
about $60 by using a processor with a slower FSB but higher clock
speed. What do you think? Note that I am adding a third capture card.
