No, I was trying to say that the Mac port is sufficiently different; I didn't propose a separate list for each Linux distribution. For example, even though OS X uses OpenGL, MythTV on OS X does not (cannot?). Seems to be a Mac-specific issue that Mac users can (are?) confused about and yet Linux users...aren't likely to care one way or the other.
I agree that there is much good information on the -users list. Even with a -users-Mac list, I'd likely still scan the subject lines. Linux users would benefit by having a few less posts to wade through.
