I wasn't gunning for the email in question, and thought Mike's comment was 
fine. I was just saying that i've seen the attitude (that was reported in 
Victor's quote) a lot. In fact it's a major reason i don't use Enlightenment, 
and i seem to run into it less in the QT/KDE camps then i do the gtk/Gnome 
camps.

I feel that this whole RTFM stuff is utter crap. Why do people hang out in a 
help channel just to tell people to do it themselves and that they can't be 
bothered?

I still don't understand why some of these communities would tolerate such 
attitudes.  So the point was to ask "Why do you thinks it's tolerable?"
