Channels are not added to digital sources automatically because chances
are there are they won't work.  (I.e. for "scannable" sources
(non-firewire digital sources), you need to do a channel scan for them
to work.  For firewire sources, chances are there are many channels that
are encrypted or unavailable through firewire.  If mfdb automatically
added them, you'd be recording a lot of nothing when Myth thinks a
channel works but it doesn't.)

So, to set up new channels with a non-scannable digital source
(firewire), you have to tell mfdb to add the new channels.  See the
mythfilldatabase --help output (and look at, especially,
--do-channel-updates).
