Hi Jared,
I don't see any kernel module installed, you'll need to do a yum
install lirc-kmdl-`uname -r`. I just built a frontend on Fedora 7 and
had to wait a couple of days for the matching module for 2.6.22.5 to
become available on atrpms. You may be in the same boat at the
moment.
