Lots of people seem to like the XBox as a cheap front-end. It's not  
quiet or tiny, but it gets the job done. For tiny, quiet and  
powerful, the Mac Mini's are a nice option, but not cheap. Seems you  
can only pick two of the following: attractive, cheap, quiet, powerful.
