It depends. I have a Hyundai 42" plasma and the difference in quality
between VGA and DVI was marked. VGA was clearly inferior. This may be
(partly or fully) due to VGA cable I was using. With my Samsung LCD monitor
I cannot see any difference between VGA and DVI inputs.

My advice would be to try VGA and see if you are happy with the quality.
