You may want to RMA your 500.  Hauppauge told me they had fixed a 
problem with the new Samsung tuners in early 2007.
Mine is just fine now.
FYI, if you go by the old picture at http://tinyurl.com/3e56fj  then my 
old card was a 2006 "Type B" RevE587.  The new card's tuners have the 
"Type A" foot print but with some differences: 1) model # is 23552 LF 
instead of just 23552, 2) Rev E792  3) Copyright 2007  4) no red swoosh 
under "Hauppauge".
