those options for the frontend don't look right. I think they'll need
to be different from the backend ones.  I can't check now myself but
try

mythfrontend --help

or google for mythfrontend log verbosity

you can alway put

mythfrontend -v all ...

but that might produce a lot of output.

I normally use

mythfrontend -v playback

which might be a good place to start.
