[mythtv-users] mythtv failure

I've done setup and all seemed OK, mythfilldatabase also ran. When I 
select "Watch TV", it just returns to the menu. Running mythtv 
standalone, a window bridfly flashes up and dissappears.
I have no recordings scheduled as this is the first time.
