[mythtv-users] Trouble with LCD Panel, video drivers, modelines, etc

I'm preparing a new frontend for a 32" LCD panel and am having some
troubles with the display. I can load up 1024x768 using the vesa
drivers but if I try using the Intel drivers for my Q965 (GMA 3000) I
get nothing but a no signal error on my TV. I'm assuming it has
something to do with the refresh rates but I don't know why it would
work with the vesa drivers but not the intel ones.

I'm using Ubuntu Feisty and do have the new intel drivers loaded. This
display is capable of 1024x768 but it's full resolution is 1366x768.
The manual lists the vertical frequency at 60/75 for 1024x768 and
50/60 at 1366x768.

I'm using a d-sub connector currently because the DVI to HDMI solution
isn't working reliably but ultimately I'd like to use the HDMI port.

I've tried using the modelines in the wiki but since I can't seem to
get even 1024x768 working with the Intel drivers I don't think those
are going to help me right now. I also would prefer to get this card
working and not just "Buy an Nvidia".

I should mention however that I am able to hook up another frontend
with an Nvida card and do 1024x768 without any problems.

Thanks
