I'm glad you responded, the original message wasn't showing on gmail until
you did, and I didn't want to make a new thread about it.  Anyway, shortly
after I sent that message I got ...

svn: REPORT request failed on '/svn/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT of '/svn/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response body:
connection timed out. (http://svn.mythtv.org)

So I guess I got disconnected from svn somehow (timeout is 1 hour?  anyway I
can lower that?).  Anyway, I ran the emerge again and it's going fine now.
