It's an older WD 20GB UltraATA drive and I think I still have the disk that
came with it (or it's 40GB younger brother), so I might give that a spin.

I had SMART running with all the usual results of a watched pot. ;-(

In the meantime, I'll swap HDs and give MythDora a spin to get my FE
back.

BTW, since the BE was just updated to get SchedulesDirect support about
six weeks ago, is there any issue with just using the MythDora install as-is

(not bothering to update/upgrade anything) or is there some incompatibility
I'll need to deal with?
