[mythtv-users] Best Motherboard for Front End HD Entertainment

You would be hard pressed to find a new motherboard that isn't
"Linux/mythtv-HD" friendly. HD playback is mainly dependent on the
processor and the video card. If you are looking for integrated video, AMD
motherboards with integrated nvidia video are probably the way to go,
although HD playback is reportedly now possible with integrated Intel video
and bleeding edge drivers.

If you want onboard firewire, I suggest limiting your search to motherboards
with onboard firewire.

newegg.com is a good place to start looking.
