I'm guessing you're using 1024x576 for the gui to correct the aspect
ratio and then setting some gui offsets to account for overscan.
When you then switch to 720x576 for playback, the video window is then
probably still applying the same x offset to the video playback -
which all rings bells from when I used to have the same/similar setup.
Assuming I'm along the right lines, some logs would help.
What settings are you using for 'Use gui size for tv playback' and
'Run the frontend in a window'? and have you tried changing them?
