I'm achieving this by running mythphone and having it registered to my
Asterisk and in the same ring group as the master 'home line'
extensions. It pops up quite nicely during TV and recordings. I'm using
FreePBX's simple database of numbers and hence it'll happily report
"Paul Mobile [xxxxxxxxxxx]" whilst it's ringing.
