I have the impression that I described the problem in simple terms and
that I made it clear that it affects playback of recorded TV
material.  So, to reiterate explicitly: it _only_ has to do with the
playing of previously recorded TV material.

BTW, the subject line should be more in the vein of "the playback of
recorded TV material" since the recording by itself could very well be
OK.
