[mythtv-users] OT: Confused about infrared devices

since we're off topic, I'd like to mention:

after I got my mythbox - and i use and infrared keyboard rather than a remote - from time to time, my machine would change channels, or fast forward at random. I was pretty sure from the start that it was Jay. It was. Turns out he had not disabled the infrared whatever it is on his laptop. It was all fixed. Then he got a new laptop :)  It took less time to make him believe me the second time. :)

hey, you never know - someday someone else's mythbox might have the same problem....
