[mythtv-users] Slick frontend ML02

I am looking for a slick frontend. Nothing seems to fit these days. I 
want it to be able to do HD at 1080p, silent (fanless?), optical audio out, 
slim and a DVD-slot. First I had my eyes on the new mac mini, but it has 
only one DVI slot and I would like both TV and projector to be connected 
at the same time. But then I figured I maybe can get away cheaper 
building my own. So now I'm looking at a case. I stumbled across this:

However, I don't know if the VFD and IR works under linux. Although the 
Phoronix review states this (page 5) there is no other site, using 
google, I have found that says the same. So, is there any more 
information about the VFD/IR? Does it work under linux?
