So you reply and don't bother removing the clog from your post?  There
is no rule such as what you mention.  Log files are routinely posted
to the list and I personally don't see an issue with that.  Some
people do link to files that they upload to a web server rather than
attach or post inline, but any method works.  The nice thing about
including it in the email and not referencing a third part site is
that archives, such as gossamer-threads, will have the relative
information stored with its archives.
