Thanks for the info.  It did it.  Now the 'Log Viewer' screen is
currently showing the real processes.

Speaking of that screen, I have a user problem with it: the buttons at
the bottom of the screen are: 'Cancel', 'Update' and 'Exit'.  Do these
relate to the DVD creation or only to the log viewer ?  I mean, if
'Exit' is chosen, it is not clear that the creation will still be
going, as with 'Cancel'.  Cancel what ?  Log viewing or DVD creation ?

If I choose 'Exit' (which I did not since I'm leaving it in the Log
Viewer for now) how can MythTV report on the DVD creation ?  OSD ?  Or
if I want to find out about the creation process in a commercial pause
while watching TV, where should I go in MythTV ?
