Joe,

Glad things are now working for irsend (other readers will need to see
the related thread on lirc-list).

As I said, please post the init scripts to the LIRC list if the Ubuntu
instructions are not working for your 2 lircd instances and you want
someone to look over them. The lirc-list is the most appropriate list
for this.
