It seems to always be the same channels.  Some don't do it at all, but some
seem to do it every time I tune to them.  But I was watching a football game
last night and it had a rather large black and dark grey scoreboard at the
bottom, and it didn't seem to be flickering.  Once it cut to commercial and
there were more colors on the screen, it was flickering pretty bad.  A
pretty noticeable pink flicker.

I don't think it's unstable dots (though it could be and my eyes just aren't
good enough) but it's just a line that blinks on and off, though it does
sometimes look like it's "travelling" from side to side.

I think the flicker is below the actual picture area, and not part of the
displayed image itself.  Because if I am not on a channel where it's
flickering, the space is usually black and you can tell the picture stops
just short of it.
