[mythtv-users] Line-ins on a1010LT?

Folks,

I just picked up a M-audio 1010LT. I'm not sure if i should take this to
the alsa-users list or not (probably), but i thought i'd start here in
case anyone had one of these as well.

There are 8 line-ins. Line 1 and 2 are balance connections for mics. You
can set a jumper inside to make it a line-level input but i don't have
balanced outputs on my dish network STB anyway. If i got a balanced to rca
converter would that work?

I could use 3 and 4, but how can i tell Mythtv that 3 is left and 4 is right?

The digital input is spdif and my digital out on my dish network stb is
optical. Convert optical to spdif cheaply? i doubt it.

I can just plug in my soundblaster usb extigy for the input, but it sounds
terrible, has latency issues and i'd rather not have one more wallwart to
plug in.

Any ideas? Does anyone have any success with this card.

Thanks all,

Bearcat M. Sandor
