[mythtv-users] Mythtv on Ubuntu VS Fedora

I stumbled into this ubuntu vid

It strikes me as worth checking out.

I'm a fan of the YUM package installer concept in Fedora.  It appears in the
video that Ubuntu has a similar package managment software.

Has anyone here had experience with both?

Also linux MCE is based on Ubuntu & it seems to have partial Mythtv support.

Any sugestions or comments would be greatly appreciated (ie am I heading for
a dead end?)
