I am using the same version as you (r14775) and I was talking about
the same thing. I said "Main Settings" because I am using MythTV in
German, and I was not sure what is called in English.

It is not KDE/Gnome. I have none of these. There messages disappeared
after putting the devices in the ignore list. But I believe that this
is a bug.
