Btw, is there a way to re-scan the music collection in the background  
while the frontend is playing music from it?

I am happy if it would even only use the updated index after a new  
start, but starting mythtv to listen to music and then rescanning the  
whole collection after I added some new songs is quite annoying - it  
takes quite long on my old Dell Latitude;(
