[mythtv-users] How to set mythtv screen saver to anything other than blanking?

I would like to set a screen saver for the myth menus. My previous 
attempt at this only resulted in switching to a blank screen. This 
resulted in the tv being left on overnight ($$$) so here is my question? 
Is it possible to set the screen saver to display an animated saver like 
the starfield simulation? How?
