Given how much non-HD stuff is letterboxed today, I think the equation is
tilted even further toward a widescreen display.  A sizable percentage of what
I watch gets scaled by MythTV to fill the screen.

I went from a 27" 4:3 flat tube to a 30" 16:10 LCD.  4:3 content shows up just
a little bit smaller than before, but anything that's widescreen or letterbox
gets much more screen space to play with.
