The most of those I ever ran at the same time was 2 (Plextor units). SD
obviously. I had no problems.

The math says 4 USB units should work, but I'd have to see it to believe
it, as USB drivers can be resource hogs.

Another option you might look into for HD (or SD that's digital) is the
HDHomerun. They seem to be getting very good reviews here. Two tuners
over ethernet
