[mythtv-users] Watching TV the "MythTV way" and finding new programs

Hello fellow Mythers!

So, I am just thinking ahead, say 5 years. If I continue to watch
MythTV the way it's intended (without channel flipping, usually
without commercials) how am I supposed to know what new series come
out, what they are about, and what channels they are on? I know that
mythwish (aka WishTV, aka TVWish) exists, and that is probably what I
will use. But for the general myth user who may be unaware of TVWish,
how do they find out about new programs? Co-workers? Sure, that's
probably my best source. But what about say, the lonely programmer.
They don't have much interaction from co-workers so they don't get to
hear about the new series coming out. Family? Yep, that's my
secondary source.

But without channel flipping and commercials (and the above mentioned
possible alternatives), it seems that MythTV won't be necessary after
all the series I currently watch die off, get cancelled, or just end
suddenly.

Any thoughts? Is there a good centralized location to go to find out
about new shows without having to be bombarded with Kentucky Fried
Chicken commercials?
